It's pretty much the only thing I get from the app store these days. In playing Jelly Defense, I have to agree with some of the other reviewers: Cool game, but inexplicably difficult to beat. That would normally be a good thing, but I'm not talking about mastering some skill, based on strategy. I'm saying this game does things that don't make sense, like attack waves progressing inappropriately. One level is super easy the next is dumbfounding. The only way to master this game is just to memorize the levels. To me, this is like the difference between someone memorizing school test answers, vs someone understanding strategy. ![]() ![]() In most levels, you might be able to anticipate the incoming jellies and place towers appropriately. But sometimes, within that same level, there will suddenly be an attack wave that completely breaks through. The only way to beat this is to memorize the attack waves.Īlso, the in-game advice sometimes doesn't display. I'll get the pop-up window, but it's completely blank. Seriously, I would love to make games like this for a living. ![]()
